to donors who have lapsed two to four years are more productive

Mail
In todays competitive direct response
fundraising market, organizations are using more targeted,
coordinated direct mail in combination with outbound telephone
programs. Variable text direct mail sent to donors not contacted
during a telephone program, donors who decline to make a telephone
pledge, or donors for whom weve left messages will
likely yield more revenue than generic direct mail. Our direct
mail follow-up is sent first class and typically results in
response rates of 6% to 10%. This kind of tailored direct
mail approach can convince a supporter that an organization
truly cares about the individual as much as the cause. It
