The Problem
Bread for the World, a nonpartisan, faith-based citizens' movement with 47,000 members, works to end hunger by lobbying decision makers on legislation that addresses hunger in local communities and around the world. They needed a way to communicate with their various constituencies on an array of issues. With several advocacy initiatives taking place at once, and the fast pace of the political world to consider, Bread for the World needed the ability to quickly mobilize their membership base to take action on hunger-related issues.
In addition, Bread for the World was seeking a way to connect with their members on a more personal level and improve retention. However, with limited staff resources, that was often a difficult task.
The Solution
Share Group was able to provide Bread for the World with a wide range of outreach programs including pass-through advocacy calls, membership welcome and thank you calls, bequest information calls, and calls promoting church-based fundraising activities.
Mobilizing members by phone to take action on legislation allowed Bread for the World to contact their members quickly, and the pass-through feature made it easy for members to get involved.
Membership welcome and thank you calls fostered a more personal connection with members and donors.
Bequest calls helped identify and prioritize donors who were interested in including Bread For The World in their financial future by introducing an option that many members might not otherwise be aware.
Calling churches around the country to promote and distribute tools generated desperately needed funding for hunger-related issues.
